The Castle survives a geography lesson, foreign fingers enter public service, and the healers must first persuade somebody to open the door.

Two Kingdoms Mobilise; First Enemy Is A Diagram

Rogers apologised for the Castle placement dispute on Saturday. One minute later, Rogers explained that there had been nothing to apologise for.

"so sorry"
"I was not wrong, they were literally on our side lmao"

Our cartographer has laid down the compass and picked up a drink.

Autumn had announced the #1171–#1139 arrangement beforehand: quadrants, north and south lines, no attacks during Castle, and a one-minute warning for towns on the wrong side. The kingdoms were to fight over a Castle. First they would fight over where to stand while fighting over it.

Tombstonē repeatedly posted a diagram of filled and empty circles around the Castle. GEZEGEN disputed the placement; ENOLA asked whether this could be done nicely. Tombstonē replied, "I asked him nicely :(". The diagram had acquired a grievance before the Castle had acquired a battle.

Cassely asked, "now good?". Tombstonē said yes and thanked everyone. Peace lasted long enough for another discussion about Rogers's position.

Sneaky Gobby initially treated the graphic as a reading examination. Then came the more useful admission:

"Normally we would do a straight line from the turret, but I do see the communication breakdown"
"We both assumed"

There it was: two kingdoms had brought their own geography. Neither had remembered to tell the land.

Soup, wearing MMA in the nickname, defended MMA's position, then clarified that Rogers had been wrong. Gaz observed that nobody was short of space on either side. This removed the last practical reason for the argument without impairing its ability to continue.

Winter asked for the provoking and teasing to stop. Rogers supplied the apology, followed by the withdrawal of the apology. The Gazette recommends issuing future compasses with a cooling-off period.

After the fight, the square congratulated #1139: Valkyrie, Koverk and others gave the opponents their due, while Koverk praised TUD and MMA's Castle work. That is the public account of the result; this paper has no certified score to add. MMA also received praise for counter-rallies. Credit belongs where it is earned, even when the directions to that location remain disputed.

The kingdoms managed a competitive battle. The circles had a much closer contest.

Recovery And Public Service

Enemy Arrives With Healing; Gate Requires Proof Of Being Larger

Sunday's most useful invasion came carrying treatment.

KAHUNA offered healing before leaving, then explained that there was no need to spy. MIRZA USMAN invited the help to MMA. The visiting account was small enough to need an invitation; the goodwill was apparently too large to fit through the ordinary application slot.

Thadeus offered a farm account too. In a checked paraphrase of the German exchange, the farm could not apply because it was too small. Thadeus complained that the application requirements were too strict.

This is a magnificent entrance examination for an infirmary: the volunteer must first demonstrate that the volunteer needs fewer volunteers.

The service spread to HUN. Legion asked for help. Nurse Tombstone2 requested an invitation; Legion explained that R3 could not personally open the door and would have R4 accept. FireQueen later arrived with treatments and the same reasonable question: was anybody there to let the help in?

Meanwhile Tombstone encountered a limit on deleting characters. The increasingly numbered Nurse Tombstones had met an enemy no Castle rally could remove: the daily allowance.

lukas_ offered to create another account. Then lukas___ returned:

"Welcome back to my new incarnation 😃 send an invitation wherever you need treatment 😉"

The healer had reincarnated before the patient had finished waiting. Our apothecary has asked whether this can be bottled.

Jessy Bear said seeing everyone help made the square feel warm and fuzzy. It was a properly earned sentiment: former opponents were bringing aid, local governors were finding invitations, and the gate was slowly remembering what gates are for.

Near the deadline, MyQueen reported:

"We are all healed 😍"

That is HUN's public report, not a count of every bed in the kingdom. Esat still answered yes when Thadeus asked whether MMA needed more healing.

The medical triumph of the evening was therefore accompanied by a practical lesson. When an enemy knocks with bandages, check the latch before the power requirement.

Appointments And Uninvited Assistance

Unc Offers To Help; Appointment Witness Notices The Opposing Kingdom

MIRZA USMAN wanted a Noble Advisor appointment. Snorlax suggested taking over after somebody finished. Unc volunteered with the confidence of a governor who had already located the chair.

"bru I was testing u steal mine 😭😭"

That was MIRZA's complaint. Unc denied knowing what MIRZA meant, then announced:

"I’m going to score so many points for us"

MIRZA supplied the inconvenient detail:

"U are from 1139"
"Doesn’t sound like me"

The applicant had discovered a delightful loophole in international service: simply decline to recognise the country named on the accusation.

MIRZA asked that Unc be removed from the appointment. Unc answered, "I am in 1171!". Being present had been submitted as a substitute for being on the same side. No confirmed appointment theft is established by this exchange; the public complaint and the beautifully slippery defence are quite sufficient for the Employment Pages.

Valkyrie then tested the underlying appointment advice and reported that leaving did not let the next person step into the current slot. Later, Valkyrie said departure was possible after ten minutes, but the next appointment still had to wait for its own start. These were player tests, rather than a royal amendment.

The chair could be vacated. The time could not. Unc remained willing to help, provided nobody examined the word "us" too closely.

Culture And Island Property

MyQueen Declares Best Island; Donut Demands A Donut

While the Castle was busy, Legion observed that it was a perfect time to share islands. The siege had developed a property supplement.

MyQueen announced that the best island belonged to MyQueen. VOID disagreed. DrunkenDonut disagreed too. MyQueen clarified the planning position:

"SUPER CORRECT!"

The judgement had been upgraded to capitals, leaving the opposition nowhere to appeal except the next message.

MyQueen explained that the island had games for everyone. Donut identified a structural defect:

"you’re island is missing a donut"

There is a certain purity to a critic whose entire architectural philosophy is the critic's own name.

Snacked offered loot for winning games, then later proposed a one-versus-one for the best-island title. MyQueen maintained that the local island was much better. The square had progressed from landscape criticism to a proposed armed inspection.

Donut said, "I thought you loved me 😭😭😭😭😭". MyQueen supplied the reason for the withdrawal of diplomatic warmth:

"you said my island isn’t the best 😭"

Godzilla offered a like. Donut offered the same solution as before: put a donut on the island and it would be a masterpiece.

The Gazette's property correspondent recognises two schools of design. One supplies games for everyone. The other supplies Donut for Donut.

Etiquette Experiments

Donut Says Please; Rally Apparently Understands

DrunkenDonut interrupted Saturday's noise with a remarkable request:

"excuse me sir, could you please send your rally somewhere else please. Thank you"

VOID said that such politeness would make a cancellation tempting, then noted that this was the first time VOID had seen Donut polite. The village had spotted a rare creature and sensibly refrained from moving too quickly.

Donut said the effort was part of becoming a new person. People were testing that ambition. Then:

"He cancelled! My politeness worked 😍"

That is Donut's report of the cancellation. No battle record is being certified, but the delighted discovery of manners is available for public study.

Valkyrie asked whether this form could be kept for future requests. Donut agreed only if Donut was absent. Valkyrie encouraged the good start; Donut asked whether anybody knew how much effort it had taken.

The experiment has therefore demonstrated a promising method and a severe shortage of the person willing to use it.

Notices From Around Town

Evil Cat Fails Inspection By Looking Adorable

Snorlax observed that evil cat did not look evil. Claret found the picture cute. evil cat changed it; Snorlax approved the new attempt, and Claret still found it cute.

Later, a separate handle, cat, claimed to be the cutest. Snorlax hesitated for fear that evil cat would hunt the witness down, then conceded after cat claimed the rival agreed.

No identity merger or official feline ranking is declared. The naming department merely reports that evil has failed to pass its own portrait inspection.

New Outfit Receives Congratulations; Weeds Decline To Recognise It

The square congratulated Big Chicky Nuggy on the new look and thanked Nuggy for gifts. Jessy Bear celebrated the presents; Valkyrie said the outfit suited the governor.

Winter congratulated Nuggy and reminded the gardener that work on an island is never finished. Nuggy identified the resistance:

"Hmmm I know damn weeds keeping popping up."

The gifts were welcomed across the square. The weeds have not sent a thank-you.

Godzilla Reserves The Fast Fingers; SoloK Reports Kerbside Delivery

Godzilla's Sunday recruitment interview had one question: was SoloK good?

"I got fast fingers"

SoloK had supplied the correct qualification. Godzilla accepted, then posted the most possessive job advertisement in the square:

"He is my teammate! Nobody ask him to play thanks"

The talent had been engaged. Other employers were instructed to admire from a distance. The Rock soon wanted a fast teammate too; the labour market had already lost its most loudly reserved applicant.

Then SoloK congratulated Godzilla and added:

"You kicked me to the curb real quick 😂😂"

Godzilla said the result had seemed beyond reach; SoloK said Godzilla had kept pushing. No score or exact placing is supplied by this exchange. The revealing fact is the change in tone: from NOBODY ASK HIM to a teammate describing the kerb.

SoloK needed to rest the fingers after playing and healing all day. The same scarce local resource had apparently been recruited for entertainment and recovery. The kingdom had fought over a Castle, then discovered that the essential infrastructure was somebody's index finger.

Page 3 has consequently nominated Godzilla to demonstrate the position personally. The Gazette's imaginary Fast Fingers Office offers a brief practical examination: claim the assistant, announce exclusivity, and try to keep the assistant on the premises until the end of the next sentence.

The Decency Desk has no objection to quick hands in public service. It merely requests that the employment contract last longer than the flourish.

Godzilla may reserve the teammate. SoloK has reserved the last word.
